Quick Answers to 20 Top FSA Questions

What is the Flexible Spending Account (FSA) / Commuter Benefits option ?

With these options, you can cover the cost of eligible out-of-pocket health care and/or commuter expenses with "before-tax" dollars, almost like an automatic tax deduction. The dollar amount you choose will be transferred from each paycheck, before taxes are deducted, and contributed to your account(s). Then, use your debit card to pay for eligible out-of-pocket expenses or submit a claim for reimbursement.

Our plan administrator is WEX (formerly Discovery Benefits). Learn more about this option with the below resources and links:

How much can I transfer to my FSA?

Health FSA: $200 minimum / $1,500 maximum
Carryover Amount: up to $570 can be carried over into the new plan year

Commuter Benefits:

Note: you must have funds in your commuter account before you spend them; you can change your commuter contribution amount at any time.
