Waiver Option
Shamong Township Schools

You have the option to waive your District health benefits in return for a cash payment. This waiver option offers flexibility in creating your own personalized package of benefits. If you have medical, prescription, or dental coverage elsewhere, you may be eligible. Note: your waiver payment is considered taxable income.

The current schedule for waiver payments is as follows:

* First pay in January (no dental included)
* First pay in July (with dental included)

If you lose coverage from the alternative source, you can immediately enroll in the District plans by completing an enrollment form and providing documentation of the loss -- email the Business Office for instructions.
